What Do I Need To Bring?
We recommend:
- Comfortable casual, light clothing.
- Casual evening wear.
- Comfortable walking shoes.
- Cairns & Cape York - a light jumper or cardigan particularly for early mornings and evenings in the winter months.
- New Zealand - warmer clothing for your trips into the alps - it can be cold, even in mid summer.
- Sydney & Perth - comfortable, casual light clothing in summer, warmer clothes for cooler months.
- Sunscreen - a necessity.
- Insect Repellent - a necessity.
- Hat.
- Toiletries.
- Any medications you may require.
- Camera equipment to capture those beautiful holiday moments and stunning scenery.
- Bathing costume and beach towel
- A holiday sense of mind to enjoy a new destination to the full.
What's Included?
The inclusions of your tour are listed on the "Tour at a Glance" pages of this website. We balance inclusions with the freedom and flexibility to do your own thing. After all, it's your holiday.
What's Not Included?
Transport to/from your holiday destination, airport taxes, passport and visa fees, insurance, laundry, phone calls, beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, items of a personal nature, excess baggage, additional excursions and upgrades.
What Do I Eat?
Our emphasis is on fresh food and our meals are nutritious and delicious. With a wide variety of dining experiences provided most special diets can be catered for including religious and allergies. Please contact our office to discuss any special dietary needs you may have.
Do I Need To Reconfirm My Tours?
There is no need to reconfirm your holiday before you leave home, however our staff will be happy to discuss any of your travel arrangements or answer any queries you may have in relation to your holiday with The Traveller. Should you wish to discuss your plans please call our reservations department on 1800 171 156. In New Zealand you will be required to reconfirm your day tour to Milford Sound. Full details will be in your tour documents.
Smoking and Drinking?
Government Regulations prohibit smoking or the consumption of alcohol inside tourist vehicles within Australia and New Zealand. Smoking will be possible at planned stops along the route.
- Cairns - Rooms at the resort are non-smoking, however smoking is permitted on your balcony/lanai.
- Perth & New Zealand - Smoking rooms can be requested.
Do I Need Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended, however is NOT included in the cost of your holiday. The Tropical Traveller recommends clients have their own travel insurance covering medical expenses, loss or damage to baggage or belongings, loss and replacement of travel documents, cancellation fees and other emergencies. Travel insurance should be valid for the entire duration of your trip. For peace of mind and to ensure your holiday is relaxed and enjoyable The Traveller highly recommends you have travel insurance.
