THE SUMMER TRAVELLER

Day 1: Tuesday (D)
Upon arrival into Coolangatta Airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred to Mantra on Salt Beach Resort. Check in to the resort and relax in your home for the next 5 nights. (check in time is from 2pm). Meet our representative by the Pool Deck - Surge. Enjoy a welcome drink and a short briefi ng. We will then move to Seasalt where you will enjoy a scrumptious 2 course dinner.

Day 2: Wednesday (BLD)
Full day tour where you will pass through some scenic inland towns to the Art Deco town of Murwillumbah, located on the Tweed River. Learn more about the sub-tropical rainforest and Tweed region and visit the Tweed Art Gallery for morning tea. With spectacular views of the Tweed Valley, Border Ranges, Tweed River and Mt. Warning, The Tweed Art Gallery houses a variety of artwork and exhibitions, including the Archibald prize winner. We continue our journey to Mt. Warning with a visit to the Stokers Siding Pottery Gallery, run by a local potter who has travelled extensively through Japan both learning and teaching his craft. We then arrive at Mt. Warning where we will walk the Lyrebird track, approximately 200 metres, at the base of this ancient volcano. Lunch today is at the beautifully restored old Queenslander, Mavis's Kitchen. Afterward we take a tour of Madura Tea plantation. Enjoy a chance to taste the wonderful selections on offer, with a leisurely afternoon tea. Dinner is a 2 course meal at Seasalt.

Day 3: Thursday (BLD)
Another full day tour from where you will pass through the varying coastal towns of Fingal, Casuarina, Cabriatta, Hastings Point and Pottsville. From the coast we head inland visiting the town of Mooball. Marvel at the cow prints that decorate the town. We will stop here for a delicious morning tea before continuing on towards the Byron Lighthouse. We pass through the fi shing village of Brunswick Heads, located at the mouth of the Tweed River. The Byron Lighthouse was built in 1901 and is located on Australia's most easterly point. One of Australia's most powerful lighthouses, from here you can enjoy the spectacular views of Byron Bay and the surrounds. You can either walk down or take the bus to Watego's Beach, which is located beneath the lighthouse. Lunch today is at The Beach, a local icon situated in the heart of Byron Bay. The afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy the coastal township of Byron Bay. Visit the many shops and galleries that the town has to offer before being returned to the resort. Dinner tonight is a 2 course meal in Mahsuri, a Thai restaurant located in the resort.

Day 4: Friday (BD)
After breakfast the day is yours to relax and enjoy at your own leisure. Dinner is a 2 course meal at Seasalt.

Day 5: Saturday (B)
After breakfast the day is yours to relax and enjoy at your own leisure. Dinner is at your own expense.

Day 6: Sunday (B)
Check out time from the resort is at 10.00am. After breakfast you will be transferred to Coolangatta Airport for your fl ight home.
